Reuters reported that the UK has put another hurdle in the way of Microsoft’s $69 billion mega-buy of Call of Duty maker Activision Blizzard as it could hurt gamers by weakening the rivalry between Xbox and Sony’s PlayStation .

The biggest gaming deal ever could result in higher prices, fewer choices, and less innovation for millions of gamers, stifling competition in cloud gaming. Activision shares fell 3% in early trade in New York. Microsoft, which announced an AI-driven overhaul of its search capabilities on Tuesday, rose 2.4%.
