Julianne Hough reacts to ex-husband Brooks Laich's engagement

Julianne Hough dances with joy for her ex Brooks spawn.

The Dancing With the Stars host had nothing but kind words for the former hockey player, whom she was married to from 2017 to 2022, after he got engaged to a CrossFit athlete Katrín Tanja Davíðsdóttir on December 16th.

“Congratulations,” she wrote in the comments section of the couple’s engagement announcement on Instagram on Dec. 27. “I’m so happy for you both as you enter this beautiful new chapter together.”

The 36-year-old added: “I wish you both a life full of love, laughter and endless adventures.”

But it's not the first time that Julianne has met her ex-husband and his new love. After all, she met the couple, who went public with their romance in 2021, at a wedding before.

“It was so beautiful,” Julianne recalled of the encounter during a September episode of “The Jamie Kern Lima Show” podcast. “I’m at a point now where I feel like I’m just getting started with so much wisdom, with so much insight, with so much empathy and understanding of what’s possible.”
