Cardiac arrest at work and often fatal employment risk

Aha says ADP Increasing the figures for cardiac emergency willingness within conventional corporate jobs.
“Everyone can be a lifesaver. This is a superpower that everyone should know,” said Nancy Brown, CEO of the American Heart Association, on Tuesday at the CEO summit of the CEO Council in Arizona.
ADP has a unique position to spread this message among employees, with around one of the company's technology in the United States.
Maria Black, the CEO of ADP, said after hearing the statistics about cardiac arrest at the workplace of Brown and Aha, she was the feeling that she and ADP could do something about it, not only in her own company, but also for his customers.
ADP works with AHA and now offers practical CPR training directly through its mobile app, which according to Black is already used by more than 14 million employees every month to check their wage and salary and salary billing tools. This training includes a game book and a toolkit via CPR.
“I think about it when it is only a life, and I hope it never happens, but if it is, whether that's on a work or in a personal life of a person, I think that is incredible,” said Black.
Brown shared an example of how effective this knowledge can be: In 2023, AHA helped to facilitate the CPR and AED training for all NFL teams and their management. Just a few days after this training, Los Angeles Ram's defensive coordinator Raheem Morris and his family in Las Vegas were on vacation when he drowned a boy in a hotel pool. When the boy was taken out of the pool, he had no pulse. Thanks to his training, Morris was able to save a lifeguard and a doctor who was also at the pool to save the child's life.
“There are not fast enough measures to save someone,” said Brown.
