Al Roker has a low probability of inactivity in its prognosis.
As the veteran weatherman continues to celebrate his 30th anniversary Todayhe shared his thoughts about his future retirement from the NBC morning show.
“Well, let’s put it this way: I wasn’t thinking about retirement,” Al said People in an interview published on January 27th. “I love what I do. I feel good. I love this job. I love doing it. At some point I probably won’t be. But I don’t feel like that’s happening anytime soon, so I’ll just keep going.”
Actually the 71 year old who has children Courtney36, with deceased ex-wife Alice Bellas well as Leila27, and Nick23, with Deborah Roberts– has been on an iconic run since its inception Today‘S Weather reporter in 1996. And even though the series has gone through several changes over the years, he’s grateful that his role is still a reliable part for viewers to watch.
“I think the beauty of the show is that the mission hasn’t changed in these 74 years,” Al explained. “The fact is, we’re all temporary custodians of this legacy. At some point I won’t be part of the show anymore. Someone else will be, but being part of a pretty cool club is pretty special.”
