Rumer Willis and Derek Richard Thomas are expecting their first child

Rumer Willis becomes a mother. On December 20, actor and musician Derek Richard Thomas took to Instagram to announce the happy news, revealing photos of Thomas kissing Rumer’s baby bump. The couple captioned the post with a simple seedling emoji. Just a week earlier, the 34-year-old actor had joined parents Bruce Willis, Demi Moore and the rest of their blended family for a heartwarming Christmas party.

Shortly after the former “House Bunny” actor’s announcement, family members took to social media to express their excitement. Moore shared the same photos as her daughter on Instagram and wrote, “Entering my hot crazy granny era.” Rumer’s sisters, Scout, 31, and Tallulah Willis, 28, echoed Moore’s views. “I’m stepping into my hot, crazy, out of joint aunt era,” Tallulah captioned a series of photos. Similarly, Scout wrote, “Activating the hot, freaky, freaky Aunt Scout era,” adding, “Thank you @rumerwillis and @derekrichardthomas for helping create my new best friend.” Rumer’s stepmother, Emma Heming Willis, sent her congratulations also sent the couple a post of their own, writing: “Baby news is happy news!!! … We are happy over here!”

Though it’s unclear when the actor and the Vista Kicks frontman first started dating, they confirmed their relationship on Instagram in November. Against a cozy fall backdrop, the two posed side by side and kissed in a series of snaps. Since then, Willis has slowly revealed their romance on social media. “Out on town with my handsome guy,” she wrote alongside a photo of herself and Thomas at an event in LA.
