Reuters reveals US personal payroll increases as Omicron threat looms over economy

Reuters exclusively reported that US personal payrolls rose more-than-expected in December on underlying job strength, but skyrocketing COVID-19 infections could slow momentum in the coming months. The spike in private hires in Wednesday’s ADP National Employment Report was based on data collected in mid-December when the Omicron variant swept across the country, causing some events and hundreds of flights to be canceled.
