Reuters announces that NI will evaluate options, including sale amid interest from Emerson Electric

Reuters was the first to report that National Instruments Corp had received takeover interest from Emerson Electric. A few days after the Reuters news, Emerson released a hostile bid of nearly $7 billion for NI, which the company had been unsuccessfully trying to buy for several months.
