“It's really about my mental health,” said Carl. “I found a lot of great people who go to run clubs or various training events, and that as a sober person was a good opportunity for me to feel part of the city. If they had told me 10 years ago, Carl would run a New York City Marathon, I would have said, 'You are at King-Nüsen.' But it was a good trip so far.
