Derek Hough on Hayley Erbert’s Pregnant Emotions

Derek Hough is always in sync with Hayley Erbert.

So much so that the “Dancing With the Stars” judge joked that he’s been “absorbing all the pregnancy feelings” from his wife of two years as they prepare to welcome their first baby together.

“I’m freaking out or I’m emotional or I’m crying,” Derek shared in an exclusive interview with E! with. News. “She was the Zen Buddha, just at peace. She was incredible.”

The 40-year-old called Hayley, 31, “tough” and continued: “Honestly, it was really amazing to watch, observe and just witness how she was an incredible mother before she had this child.”

But it was quite a journey for Derek too.

“I took courses with doulas and midwives and learned everything about pregnancy,” he explained. “Just all these different things and all these tools to really understand this birth because it’s going to be a very intimate birth. It’s going to be a little bit different so I have to make sure I know what I’m doing.”
