Celebrities react to Jeremy Renner’s snowplow accident

Jeremy Renner is recovering from surgery following a snow plow accident in Nevada on New Year’s Day. A rep for the 51-year-old actor confirmed to CNN that Renner suffered “blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries” and has been in “critical but stable condition” in intensive care as of Monday night. While Renner’s reps didn’t immediately respond to POPSUGAR’s request for comment, the Avengers star has had two surgeries so far, according to CNN.

Renner gave fans an update on his condition on Tuesday, posting a photo of his hospital bed on Instagram. “Thank you all for your kind words. 🙏,” he captioned it. “I’m too confused to write now.

Renner was hospitalized Sunday morning after the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office responded to a traumatic injury in the Mt. Rose Highway area of ​​Reno, NV that required airlift to a nearby hospital. According to a press release, Renner was the only person involved in the incident, and the accident investigation team is currently investigating the circumstances of the accident.

As new details emerge about Renner’s horrific accident, the likes of Mark Ruffalo, Josh Gad and James Gunn have all shared their well wishes for the actor on social media. “Prayers for our brother @jeremyrenner for a full and speedy recovery,” Ruffalo wrote on his Instagram stories on Monday.

In a statement to People, Renner’s rep said, “Jeremy’s family would like to thank the incredible doctors and nurses who care for him, Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue, the Washoe County Sheriff, Reno City Mayor Hillary Schieve, and the Carano families and to thank Murdock . They are also enormously overwhelmed and grateful for the love and support from his fans.”
