Ben Platt and Noah Galvin’s wedding plans

After getting engaged in November 2022, Ben Platt and Noah Galvin are planning their dream wedding. In an interview with People on July 16, the couple revealed that their number one priority for their wedding is pretty simple. “The most important thing on the big day is the dance!” Galvin shared.

“Yeah, our priority is definitely a dance party,” Platt said. “Our main focus is to shape the evening so that the least amount of time is spent doing anything other than dancing.” He jokingly added, “It’s a dance party with a little bit of Judaism in the beginning.”

The Dear Evan Hansen alums announced their engagement news on Nov. 25, 2022, in a romantic Instagram post in which they showed off Galvin’s ring. “He agreed to hang out forever 💕,” Platt captioned a series of photos. On his side, Galvin added of their engagement: “I said yes and then cried for about seven hours 🫂.”

About six months later, the couple took their engagement to the next level. On May 29, Platt announced that Galvin had proposed to him, captioning “He proposed a counter-proposal” with a photo of his new ring on his Instagram story. The design of the ring is the same as that suggested by Platt Galvin, only with a sapphire stone instead of a diamond.

In another photo from the occasion, Platt and Galvin kiss in front of the sunset while wearing party hats. Platt also wears a sash that says “Groom”.

Platt and Galvin publicly announced their romance back in May 2020, but even before that, the two had an obvious connection. While Platt originated his famous title role “Dear Evan Hansen” in the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical in 2016, Galvin replaced him in November 2017 and a friendship developed from there. Years later their bond became romantic and they have shared their love with us ever since.

In September 2021, the pair attended the LA premiere of their Broadway play-turned-movie and showed off some adorable PDAs on the blue carpet. They also walked the red carpet at the 2022 Grammys. Since then, the two have shared some of their sweet couple moments via Instagram, but their engagement announcements might be the cutest of them all.
